The sizes of most stadiums in the U.S. are grand due to swelling populations and the need for stadium cleaning personnel has grown alongside. There are many concerns when it comes to determining the amount of workers needed to clean a stadium efficiently. A coordinating manager must determine the number of attendees that were present, where they were seated for the most part, the time frame before the next event and the weather during cleaning. There is much more involved than simply grabbing a broom and a trash bag.
The manager of the stadium cleaning team must be able to determine the appropriate number of employees to hire in order to perform the job in the required time frame. To assist them in this decision the manager must know the amount of attendants present at the event and the areas they used most.
There are huge contracts involved in renting a stadium and it is very important that the stadium cleaning company perform their task in a timely manner. Weather conditions will affect the performance of the workers, therefore it should be the managers responsibility to foresee any inclement weather and make the necessary arrangements to protect or assist his employees in their tasks.
Knowing where the majority of the patrons were seated can be of great value when considering the logistics of employee delegation. For example, if the bulk of the attendees were seated on the lower levels it would be prudent for the coordinator to assign more employees to those areas and less to the upper areas.
While the poor economic turn has put a strangle hold on many wallets, people still splurge on sporting events and stadium cleaning will continue to be in high demand. Knowing the expected weather conditions, stadium attendance, and time frame for the job are essential for any stadium cleaning manager.
